The Cultural and Social Activities Department at the Miami branch of the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized a blood donation drive on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. The drive saw wide participation from students, faculty members, and staff, reflecting the Academy's commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives and promoting the values ​​of solidarity and social responsibility among its students. The campaign witnessed a remarkable turnout from Academy students who were eager to participate in this noble humanitarian act, driven by their belief in the importance of blood donation and its vital role in saving the lives of patients and the injured. It also reflects the values ​​of giving and cooperation within the academic community. The campaign aligns with the Deanship of Student Affairs' strategic plan to include blood donation among its sustainable community and humanitarian activities, which are organized regularly each semester, recognizing their positive impact on raising health and humanitarian awareness among students. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and with the guidance of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohanna, Assistant Dean, as part of their ongoing support for student activities and impactful community initiatives. The campaign also saw the participation of Dr. Ahmed El-Samadisi, Vice Dean for Education at the College of Management and Technology, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Head of the Administrative Follow-up Department at the College of Management and Technology, in support and encouragement of students' positive participation in humanitarian and community activities.
