The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir organized a scientific trip for chemical and petrochemical engineering students to the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPS) in New Cairo, as part of its support for practical training and honing students' skills April 1, 2026.

The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir, under the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a field trip for students of the Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Department to the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPS) held at the Cairo International Convention Centre in New Cairo on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This was the first field trip organized after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The exhibition saw wide participation from companies operating in the petroleum sector, its derivatives, and related equipment. During the visit, students learned about the latest technologies and developments in the field, thus strengthening the connection between academic theory and practical applications.The field trip concluded with a lunch for the students before their safe return to Alexandria. These field trips are part of the ongoing cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs, headed by Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, and the deans of the various faculties and academic departments, aiming to support the educational process and enhance students' practical skills. These activities also come in implementation of the strategy of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, headed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, which pays great attention to practical training for students, which contributes to refining their skills and qualifying them for the requirements of the labor market.
