His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, received His Excellency Major General Bassem El-Sayed El-Borgesy, Director of the Command and Staff College, along with a group of the college's advisors, at the Academy's main campus in Abu Qir on Monday, January 5, 2026. Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs in Alexandria, was also present. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Academy welcomed the attendees and congratulated Major General Bassem El-Sayed El-Borgesy on his new position, emphasizing his status as one of the Armed Forces' finest leaders, given his distinguished experience and illustrious career. He also welcomed the student delegation from the 75th General Staff Course and the 47th and 48th Specialized Staff Courses, stressing the importance of acquiring knowledge as the key to national progress and the necessity of keeping abreast of all new developments and integrating modern technology into military life to keep pace with global advancements. The President of the Academy expressed the Academy's pride in providing specialized education, research, and consultations that contribute to preparing future leaders capable of addressing the challenges facing the Arab world and contributing to its scientific and technological development. For his part, Major General Ahmed Bassem El-Sayed El-Borgisy expressed his appreciation for the Academy's role in equipping the nation's youth with science and knowledge under the current circumstances. He emphasized the importance of specialized education and training in the fields of maritime transport, technology, engineering, business administration, artificial intelligence, computer science and information technology, language and media, law, medicine and dentistry, pharmacy, and international transport and logistics. He thanked the Academy for its distinguished scientific contributions and the enriching knowledge it provides to serve the Arab world.
