The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Miami organized a special celebration to mark the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum – November 1, 2025

In a festive atmosphere, and coinciding with the global event anticipated by millions, the Cultural and Social Activities Department at the Miami branch of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized a special event to celebrate the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025. The celebration expressed pride in this national achievement, which is reshaping Egypt's global presence. The Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest cultural edifice dedicated to showcasing Pharaonic heritage, will unveil the secrets of a civilization deeply rooted in history, and will complement the comprehensive development Egypt is witnessing in its infrastructure and national projects.The facades and walls of the Miami branch were adorned with numerous banners and photographs highlighting the key aspects of the opening, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, and with the support of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohanna, Assistant Dean, who provided all forms of support and follow-up to ensure the event was organized in a manner befitting this historic occasion. This activity comes to confirm the academy’s role in promoting cultural and civilizational awareness among its students, linking them to major national achievements, and instilling a spirit of belonging and pride in Egypt’s ancient history and bright present.
