In support of student participation and to promote democratic practices on campus, the Cultural and Social Activities Department at Miami University organized an election debate between student union candidates for the College of Language and Media on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The debate took place in the college's auditorium, drawing a large student audience and significant participation from various departments. Two student lists, headed by Rawda Adel and Mariam Nasser respectively, presented their electoral platforms to the students in an atmosphere of democratic dialogue, camaraderie, and positive competition. This reflected the students' awareness and ability to engage in mature electoral processes. The event was organized under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohanna, Assistant Dean, who were both keen to attend and observe the debate. This underscored the Deanship's ongoing support for student activities and its commitment to strengthening the role of the student union in serving the university community throughout the academic year.  Professor Dr. Marwa Abu El-Wafa, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, also participated in the overall supervision of the event, setting an outstanding example in organization and follow-up, which contributed to the debate's professional and successful execution.
