Unigreen Project Workshops

A group of participants took part in the UniGreen competition, focused on finding innovative solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change locally. They attended a 6-day bootcamp to learn how to turn their ideas into businesses addressing climate change.

The topics discussed during the bootcamp included:

  • Understanding the climate problem and identifying target customers
  • Conducting customer interviews and improving project models
  • Focusing on business models
  • Adapting to the surrounding environment
  • Validating assumptions and testing hypotheses
  • Pitching projects to secure resources for validation

Participants learned how to develop and test environmentally friendly business models and presented their project ideas at the end of the camp.

The competition is funded by the European Union, led by Life Makers Foundation, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), and implemented by Nilepreneurs. It is supported by Samsung, Nile University, the Egyptian Food Bank, and other governmental partnerships.
