The objective of the third workshop of the SEM-SEM project in Lisbon - Industrial Workshop on Smart Energy Management was to show the state-of-the-art energy management that is being develop in different installations in Lisbon: public buildings, large service building, hotels, power plants and water distribution system.

The program consisted of 6 visits (one per period) in different locations in Lisbon and discussion with the local project practitioners how these projects could be replicated in EGY and JOR.

In this first visit, the Energy Management System developed for the municipality main building ( an historical building ) was presented. This manage systems integrates the management of the PV generation system, the management of the HVAC system and its cold storage devices and the electric charging infrastructure.

In this visit, the participants could explore how a hotel from the 70s was renovated with the latest energy efficiency measures for hotels, including energy management systems, lighting systems, heat recovery systems, that are now being deployed in other hotels.

In this visit, the participants had the chance to visit the monitoring system of Lisbon water distribution system, with the detailed monitoring of water flow and energy demand.

In this visit, the participants had the chance to visit a trigeneration power plant in the newest part of the city, and see how the generation of heat, cool and electricity is done and monitored in real time with high efficiency.

In this visit, the participants could witness the evolution of the energy management system of IST since the training in 2017.

The final visit included the solar plant for cooling generation in the national bank CGD, that has been operating for 20 years with enormous success.
