REST4GREEN Project | Inspiring the Next Generation Towards a Sustainable Energy Future
As part of the REST4GREEN Project’s commitment to promoting renewable energy and sustainability among young generations, primary school students participated in an interactive educational visit at the College of Engineering and Technology, AASTMT – Abu Qir Main Campus.
During the visit, students explored different renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic systems, solar thermal systems, and wind energy. They also took part in hands-on experiments demonstrating how buildings can become more sustainable through renewable energy integration, energy-efficient technologies, and reduced electricity consumption.
One of the highlights was a hands-on solar mini-robot activity, where the students built and experimented with small robots powered by solar energy. This engaging activity helped them understand how sunlight can be directly converted into electricity and used to power real applications.
Through these interactive experiences, the students discovered how clean energy can be generated, used in sustainable buildings, and applied to innovative technologies.
The activity reflects the REST4GREEN Project’s efforts to make renewable energy and sustainability concepts accessible and exciting for younger generations, inspiring them to imagine greener, smarter, and more sustainable communities of the future.
