Background
Under the framework of the EU-funded Interreg NEXT MED project HEEFTA, AASTMT seeks to subcontract a qualified external service provider to design, develop, facilitate, and organize a national capacity-building workshop in Egypt.
This workshop will contribute to the project’s objectives by strengthening environmental awareness, green and blue skills, interdisciplinary education, and practical student engagement in sustainability-related innovation.
Objective of the Assignment
The selected contractor shall provide full technical, scientific, organizational, and logistical support for the successful implementation of the HEEFTA national workshop, including:
- Development of scientific and educational training materials
- Workshop design and delivery
- Professional facilitation
- Full event management and coordination
- Participant management
- Support to students in developing sustainability-oriented projects
- Technical reporting
Scope of Services
The contractor shall be responsible for:
A. Scientific and Technical Development
- Develop workshop curriculum and educational materials aligned with HEEFTA objectives
- Prepare presentations, training modules, and practical exercises
- Integrate green and blue economy concepts
- Support interdisciplinary learning
B. Training and Facilitation
- Provide qualified trainers and facilitators
- Conduct training sessions
- Moderate group discussions and practical activities
- Mentor students during project development
C. Event Organization
- Participant registration and management
- Venue technical setup
- Branding and promotional materials
- Event logistics
- Transportation coordination if required
- Documentation (photos, attendance, reports)
D. Reporting
- Submit final technical and financial report
- Provide workshop outcomes and recommendations
- Deliver participant lists and evaluation forms
Deliverables
The contractor must deliver:
- Workshop agenda
- Training materials
- Participant kits
- Branding materials
- Full workshop implementation
- Final technical report
- Financial invoice
- Supporting evidence documentation
Required Qualifications
Eligible companies must demonstrate:
- Proven experience in event management
- Training and consultancy expertise
- Experience in educational or sustainability projects
- Capacity to manage technical and logistical tasks
- Experience with donor-funded or international projects is preferred
