University of Valladolid will host its 12th International Staff Week from 25 to 29 May 2026

Dear colleagues,

I hope you are doing very well.

We are pleased to inform you that the University of Valladolid will host its 12th International Staff Week from 25 to 29 May 2026, and within the framework of our Erasmus+ KA171 project, we have reserved one place for a staff member from your institution who works in, or is directly involved with, internationalization processes.

In accordance with Erasmus+ KA171 rules, your institution should launch an internal call to select the participant through a fair, transparent and merit‑based procedure.

Once the internal selection is completed, the participant will need to follow a process similar to the one previously shared for other activities (nomination letter, document upload in UVAMOBPLUS2, and final confirmation by the University of Valladolid). Our Call for your staff to apply for the Erasmus+ KA171 funding will be available on February 10th, 2026 and deadline will be for 10 working days. We will let you know by email as soon as the Call is launched.

We would also like to highlight that the 12th International Week will be an excellent opportunity to exchange experience and know‑how on many aspects of university internationalization. In addition to the academic programme, we will be delighted to show participants our university, our city, and some elements of our cultural heritage. The week is designed to foster networking, strengthen existing partnerships, and promote new cooperation opportunities. There will be at least 10 participants from EU institutions and more than 30 from partner countries.

A minimum B2 level of English will be required for the participation.

The planned activities include:

Workshops on various topics related to the Erasmus+ KA171-ICM project
Workshops on internationalization
Presentation of the University of Valladolid
Group and individual meetings with academic staff from different faculties
International Fair
Partner presentations on topics such as:
Best practices in ICM (staff/student mobility)
Challenges in ICM
Sustainability and impact of ICM projects
Visibility and dissemination
Additional topics to be confirmed
Experts’ roundtable
Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building dissemination session
Social, cultural and networking activities
A trip to our Segovia Campus
There will be a participation fee of 125 EUR, which covers social activities, the trip to Segovia, and two guided tours (Valladolid and Segovia). This fee will be deducted from the Erasmus+ KA171 scholarship.

Accommodation must be arranged directly by participants. We will provide a list of recommended hotels, hostels and residences located near the main venues of the Staff Week.

After the final selection, we will contact the participant to propose possible presentation topics and to identify their areas of interest for meetings with our academic staff.

We look forward to welcoming your representative to Valladolid and sharing this enriching experience.
