On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Cultural and Social Activities Department in Miami organized a special celebration entitled “Senior Day” for students of the Colleges of Management and Technology and Language and Media at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The event, held in a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, reflected a spirit of belonging, pride, and success, with wide participation from students, faculty members, and academic and administrative leaders.

The celebration was held as part of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s commitment, under the leadership of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, to supporting student activities and fostering positive communication between students and the Academy’s administration. This contributes to creating a comprehensive university environment that combines academic excellence with cultural, social, and recreational activities. The day was marked by an exceptional atmosphere filled with feelings of pride, optimism, and ambition, as students celebrated the nearing completion of their studies and their readiness to embark on their careers and achieve their professional aspirations. The event showcased the strong bonds and sense of belonging that characterize the Academy’s students. The celebration was organized under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohanna, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, who are always keen to provide student events and activities that contribute to developing students' personalities and fostering a spirit of participation and teamwork.

The celebration was also attended by Professor Dr. Ashraf Adel Labib, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Technology; Professor Dr. Abeer Rifqi, Dean of the Faculty of Language and Media; Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Samadisi, Vice Dean for Education; Professor Dr. Sherif Hassan, Vice Dean for Education; and a large number of faculty members and administrators, in a scene that reflects the spirit of cooperation and integration within the academy's work system.

The day included a number of artistic and entertainment segments that were met with great enthusiasm from the students. A musical performance by the artist Sari was held, along with musical performances accompanied by DJ sets, and performances by a Lebanese band and a Lebanese Dabke dance, which created an atmosphere of joy and excitement among the attendees.

The event also featured dance performances sponsored by Red Bull, which also distributed free drinks to students and attendees, contributing to the festive atmosphere and the event's organization.

The celebration included an awards ceremony honoring student union presidents. Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, presented awards to several student leaders, faculty members, and administrators in recognition of their efforts and contributions to supporting student activities. The Academy's shield was also presented to Professor Dr. Abeer Rifky, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Samadisy, Professor Dr. Sherif Hassan, Professor Dr. Marwa Abu El-Wafa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Language and Media for Student Affairs, and Mr. Mustafa Kamel, Head of the Cultural and Social Activities Department.

At the conclusion of the events, the Deanship of Student Affairs expressed its thanks and appreciation to all the departments and administrations that participated in organizing the day, most notably the Security Department headed by Dr. Khaled Al-Najjar, the Logistics and Maintenance Department led by Professor Ahmed Idris and the staff at the headquarters, and the Legal Affairs Department headed by Dr. Rami Khairy, for their great efforts that contributed to the celebration being a distinguished event befitting the status of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
