The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir organized a scientific trip for international trade logistics students to visit the largest strategic medical warehouse in Africa, located in the New Administrative Capital, as part of supporting practical application and developing logistical and cultural awareness among students on Monday, May 11, 2026.

On Monday, May 11, 2026, the Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir organized a distinguished field trip for students of the International Trade Logistics Department at the College of International Transport and Logistics, at the main campus of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir. This trip reflects the Academy's commitment to enhancing practical application, bridging the gap between academic studies and real-world practice, and developing students' field experience in modern supply chain and logistics services.

The trip included a visit to the first strategic warehouse for pharmaceuticals and medical devices in the New Administrative Capital. This warehouse is one of only six strategic warehouses in Egypt and the largest in Africa. During the visit, students learned about the latest global systems and technologies used in managing and operating strategic warehouses. The visit also included an extensive tour of the warehouse to learn about smart storage systems, fully automated operations, and modern digital tracking and monitoring technologies. These technologies significantly contribute to improving the efficiency of supply chains and achieving the highest standards of safety and quality for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, reflecting the significant progress Egypt is making in logistics infrastructure and digital transformation. The trip also provided students with a practical opportunity to learn about strategic inventory management mechanisms and modern operational methods used in major national projects. This enriched their theoretical and practical knowledge and connected academic concepts with real-world applications in the job market. The students concluded the day's activities with a leisure period that included lunch and spending quality time in the Al-Azhar and Al-Hussein areas, in a vibrant student atmosphere that fostered communication and camaraderie. The trip was organized through fruitful cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, and Dr. Sarah El-Gazzara, Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics, under the patronage and guidance of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, who is always keen to support scientific, cultural, and educational trips that contribute to preparing qualified student cadres capable of meeting the demands of the modern job market.
