The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir organized scientific trips for international transfer and computer science students to support field training and link studies with the labor market on April 28 and May 10, 2026.

The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir, under the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, organized a series of field trips for students from various faculties. This initiative reflects the Academy's commitment to supporting practical application and bridging the gap between theoretical studies and the demands of the job market, aligning with its strategy to produce qualified graduates capable of competing in diverse fields. The activities included a trip for students from the Faculty of International Transport to the October Dry Port in 6th of October City on May 10, 2026. There, the students received a detailed explanation of the concept behind dry ports, their management mechanisms, and their operation. They also toured the port's various departments to gain firsthand experience of the actual work environment and practical applications related to their specialization. Another highlight was a unique field trip for students from the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology to Media Production City on April 28, 2026. This trip allowed the students to learn about the stages of media content production within television channels, from initial concept to final broadcast, thus demonstrating the practical applications relevant to their academic disciplines. The Deanship of Student Affairs confirmed that these trips are part of its regular plan to support scientific and cultural activities, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and with the guidance of Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, thus achieving integration between the educational process and practical training. The events concluded with an emphasis on the continuation of organizing such scientific and field trips, given their pivotal role in developing students' skills, enhancing their practical experience, and preparing them optimally for the local and international job market.
