The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Miami organized a scientific visit for students from the Business Administration Department (French Program) and the Finance and Commerce Departments at the College of Management and Technology to the General Authority for Financial Supervision to enhance financial literacy and build students' capabilities – Monday, April 28, 2026

As part of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport's commitment to supporting applied student activities and linking academic studies with the job market, and in implementation of the Academy's strategy to build students' capabilities and qualify them scientifically and professionally, the Cultural and Social Activities Department in Miami organized a scientific visit for students from the Business Administration Department (French Program) and the Finance and Commerce Departments at the College of Management and Technology to the Financial Regulatory Authority on Monday, April 28, 2026. The visit saw the participation of 65 male and female students from the Academy, with the aim of enhancing non-banking financial literacy and learning about the Authority's role in regulating and monitoring financial markets and non-banking activities, thus contributing to developing students' awareness of the financial and economic field and linking theoretical aspects with practical application within state institutions. The visit included an intensive training program presented by specialists from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). The program covered several topics related to financial literacy and operational mechanisms within the non-banking financial sector. The students demonstrated remarkable engagement and provided outstanding answers, reflecting a commendable level of knowledge. This earned the praise of the instructors and underscored the academy students' excellence, comprehension skills, and active participation. At the program's conclusion, the students were awarded course completion certificates in recognition of their active participation and commitment throughout the visit. This marked the seventh consecutive visit as part of the fruitful collaboration between the academy and the FRA. The students were accompanied during the visit by Teaching Assistant Mona El-Desouky, under the supervision of the Cultural and Social Activities Department and with the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm and Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Mohanna, Assistant Dean. This initiative reflects the academy's commitment to supporting student activities aimed at preparing distinguished graduates capable of meeting the demands of the job market. This event comes within the framework of the vision of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, led by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, which aims to enhance the quality of applied education, develop students’ skills, and support their scientific and practical journey in line with modern developments in various fields.
