Executive Council Delegation Praises AASTMT’s Achievements During Inspection Tour at New Alamein Branch
Members of the Executive Council of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, headed by Dr. Ahmed Tamer, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Dr. Raed Al-Jubouri, Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Unions at the League of Arab States, along with the accompanying delegation, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the Academy’s branch in New Alamein City, on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, accompanied the official delegation on a tour that included the Faculty of Engineering building, where the latest technological equipment and advanced laboratories were showcased. The visit also featured in-depth discussions on the Aviation Sciences specialization and the academic programs offered at the branch, which are comparable to those of leading international universities, contributing to the preparation of qualified Arab professionals to meet the demands of this vital sector.
The tour then moved to the site of the “RoboCup” competition hosted at the branch, where the Executive Council members observed part of the student competitions and participating teams. The delegation expressed admiration for the high level of organization, emphasizing that hosting such international events enhances the Academy’s position as a regional hub for innovation and scientific research in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Executive Council members recorded highly positive impressions of the significant infrastructural and academic development witnessed at the New Alamein branch. The attendees unanimously commended the forward-looking vision of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar in selecting the branch’s location and equipping it to the highest standards, affirming that this institution represents a source of pride for joint Arab cooperation under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.
