????⚡ Electrical & Control Engineering Department Hosts Two Days of Learning, Exploration and Fun for Young Students
The Electrical and Control Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) – Abu Qir Main Campus, organized a two-day educational and recreational program for primary school students, introducing them to the exciting world of engineering, science, and energy through a combination of learning, hands-on experiences, and fun activities. ????
???? Day 1 | Exploration & Fun
The first day began with a visit to the Planetarium, where students were introduced to the basic principles of aviation and discovered how science and engineering helped transform the dream of human flight into reality. ✈️
The visit was followed by a variety of games and team competitions, creating an atmosphere of excitement and interaction. The day concluded with sports activities and swimming. ????♂️????
⚡ Day 2 | Discovering Engineering & Energy
The second day focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of electricity and renewable energy through simple explanations, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences.
Students visited the solar power station at the College of Engineering and Technology, where they learned how solar energy can be converted into electricity. They also explored the Renewable Energy Laboratory at the Electrical and Control Engineering Department and discovered different clean-energy technologies, including wind energy and solar thermal systems. ☀️????️
The students also visited the Electrical Circuits Laboratories, where they were introduced to the basic principles of electrical circuits and had the opportunity to apply simple engineering concepts themselves. ????????
The two-day program concluded with an educational and entertaining competition, followed by the distribution of prizes to the participating students. ????????
