Strategic Visit to Strengthen Partnership Between the Port Training Institute and the Egyptian Ship Repair and Building Company

As part of efforts to enhance fruitful cooperation between Port Training Institute and the Maritime Research and Consultation, and the Egyptian Ship Repair and Building Company, a delegation from the Institute and the Center, headed by Prof. Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Institute and the Center, paid a visit to the company’s headquarters. The delegation included Dr. Gamal Abdel Nasser, Director of the Education and Training Department; Dr. Essam Moustafa, Business Development Manager; Mr. Ahmed Shari, Head of the Public Relations Department; and Eng. Amr Sami, Head of the Project Management Department at the Research Center.

The delegation was received by Rear Admiral Khaled Khalil Konsowa, Acting Chairman of the Board, along with several company leaders. A meeting was held to explore avenues of cooperation in training, qualification, human capacity development, as well as research and consultancy in the maritime transport sector. The visit also included a field tour to learn more about the company’s ship repair and shipbuilding activities.

As a gesture of mutual appreciation, Rear Admiral Khaled Khalil Konsowa presented the company’s shield to Dr. Alaa Morsy in recognition of the Institute’s role in serving the maritime sector. In return, Dr. Alaa Morsy presented the Institute’s shield to him in appreciation of the company’s efforts.

Rear Admiral Khaled Khalil Konsowa praised the Institute’s pivotal role in training maritime professionals, emphasizing the importance of continued partnership to enhance professional capabilities and services within the national maritime sector.

This visit reaffirms the strategic partnership between the Institute and the company, as well as both parties’ commitment to continued joint efforts toward developing Egypt’s maritime transport sector.
