Closing Ceremony of the YepMed project.

Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean ,Ports Training  Institute, and Dr. Gamal Abd El Nasser, Director , Education and Training Department at the Institute, participated in the closing ceremony of the training program for the YepMed project and the steering committee , at Steigenberger Hotel in Damietta city from July 24-25, 2023.The event was well-attended by representatives and leaders from international and Egyptian ports.

During the ceremony, Prof. Alaa  Morsy, delivered a presentation about the role of Port training Institute in training and qualifying youth to work in ports. This training initiative was carried out over three years through cooperation between Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport and Damietta Port Authority, with funding from the European Union's ENI.

The program provided numerous job opportunities for trainees within the port community and offered a travel grant to Barcelona, Spain, for training and studying modern developments in the field of ports. It's worth mentioning that the YepMed training program has been implemented in several countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Lebanon, Italy, France, and Spain, in collaboration with Escola Europea International Transport in Barcelona, Spain.
