Honoring the Consulting Team for the Water Ambulance Project

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) welcomed H.E. Dr. Amr Rashid - Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian Ambulance Organization, and the accompanying delegation on Thursday 13- 8- 2026, at AASTMT Alamein Campus.

During the visit, they discussed the prospective areas of collaboration between the two parties, in the presence of AASTMT officials. The meeting addressed expanding the strategic partnership in the areas of field training, technical development of the maritime ambulance system, and leveraging AASTMT scientific and technical expertise to support the Authority's future projects and meet safety and rescue needs in waterways and other areas.

The consulting team in charge of designing and building six water ambulance boats for the Egyptian Ambulance Authority was also honored during the visit. Following the completion of their technical supervision, which guaranteed the boats' compliance to international maritime standards and used creative solutions to overcome operational obstacles, they were recognized. The event honored prominent individuals who participated in the project, including notable academics and maritime professionals whose knowledge and experience enhanced the project. The Chairman of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority commended AASTMT for its efforts to enhancing maritime ambulance services as well as the resources it offers to support the educational process, which fulfills international standards. Additionally, AASTMT President expressed his pleasure in this collaboration and the joint efforts.
