AASTMT President – Huawei Delegation “Meeting”

As keeping on the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) distinguished relation with Huawei a leading information and communications technology company, under the umbrella of the Huawei Academies Support Center and the supervision of AASTMT International Testing Center, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, welocmed Mr. William Geng - Head of External Relations and Strategic Communications at Huawei, and the accompanying delegation, including Eng. Asmaa Serag El-Din - Executive Director of Huawei Academies Egypt, Dr. Basant Ahmed - Director of the International Testing Center and Director of Huawei Academies Support at the Academy; Eng. Mohamed Roshdy, Director of Huawei Academic Development at AASTMT, and Huawei Public Relations Managers, Ms. Nora Wang and Ms. Alice Sin.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the delegation's visit to participate in AASTMT Advisory Council meeting at AASTMT South Valley campus. Discussions about strategic collaboration with the Huawei Academies Support Center were held in the presence of several AASTMT officials. During the visit, the delegation held a number of meetings, including meetings with the Governor of Aswan and leaders of Aswan University, where the support for the creation of specialized academies in Upper Egypt with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and other areas in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 was highlighted. in addition to emphasizing the need to develop digital skills among young people, and the need to follow a collaborative action plan in order to carry out training initiatives.
