Within the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) agreements with different World Universities and Institutions for AASTMT consolidation of the bonds of cooperation as well as its role in offering a distinctive performance of educational and training service as to keep pace with the continuous technological development, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President and H.E. Prof. Dr. Moez Limayem - President of the University of South Florida (USF) signed an agreement to enhance cooperation between AASTMT and USF.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two institutions in academic, and research domains in areas of maritime studies, logistics and supply chains, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Along with joint research projects and invitations to attend international scientific conferences and meetings, the agreement also aims to create a long-term strategic partnership that includes joint academic programs, such as the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students. This will enhance the commitment to regional and international cooperation and contribute to raising the efficiency of graduates and developing scientific research according to the latest global standards.
Notably, the University of South Florida (USF) was founded in 1956 and is known for its academic excellence, research, and community service, serving nearly 50,000 students across campuses and offers over 200 programs from 14 colleges and achieved a top 50 ranking among public universities by U.S. News & World Report for seven consecutive years, also being recognized as one of the top 15 best values in public education.
