AASTMT – Smart Island University "MOU"

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and H.E. Eng. Abdullah Al-Batati - General Manager of Smart Island Company and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Smart Island University (SIU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AASTMT and SIU. The agreement was held on Monday 12- 1- 2026, in the presence of AASTMT and SIU officials.

As keeping on AASTMT keenness to always look forward to new future horizons, “AASTMT – SIU” agreement on enhancing cooperation in e-learning, developing digital academic programs, and sharing scientific expertise. As, it aims to improve educational quality and meet digital age demands. Additionally, it outlines coordination in scientific research, capacity building, and curriculum development to benefit students and academic staff members while fostering innovation and digital transformation in higher education.

It’s worth mentioning that SIU is a digital education institution offering bachelor's and master's degrees, emphasizing diversity among its students from various backgrounds. The institution focuses on excellence by providing modern infrastructure, high-quality education, and skilled faculty, creating an optimal learning environment. SIU aims to equip graduates not only with knowledge but also with essential tools for success post-graduation, offering courses tailored to global trends to prepare students for professional success in their fields.
