"PTI" and "MRCC" Board of Directors Meeting

The meeting of the Board of directors of Port Training Institute (PTI session 86) and the Board of directors of AASTMT Maritime Research & Consultation Center (MRCC session 68) of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) was held on Tuesday 2- 12- 2025, in the new administrative capital.

The meeting activities were held under the chairmanship and in the presence of H.E. Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel ElWazeer - Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Transport and Minister of Industry, and Chairman of PTI Management Committee, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), and Prof. Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Morsi - Dean of PTI, and MRCC, in addition to the board of directors of the authorities, ports and joint stock companies, as well as several leaders in the maritime sector and a number of AASTMT Officials.

During the meeting activities, PTI and MRCC presented the previous year achievements, in addition to the training services, joint international programs and various partnerships with the goal of providing professionals in Egypt, the Arab world, and Africa with international competence in maritime education. Additionally, they emphasized the distinguished international partnerships with major global ports in Europe and China, including the Spanish port of Valencia, the French port of Marseille, the Belgian port of Antwerp, and the Chinese port of Qingdao. PTI and MRCC noted that these partnerships improve the sharing of knowledge and skills for the benefit of local ports.

It’s worth mentioning that His Excellency the Minister commended PTI and MRCC's efforts to meet the local and Arab maritime transport sector's training and advisory needs as well as to prepare young people for the workforce by offering specialized programs that enable them to work in this important and crucial industry.
