The International Conference on Training and Organizational Development (TOD 2025)

The International Conference on Training and Organizational Development (TOD 2025) was held under the theme "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Future of the Human Workforce", on Wednesday 3- 12- 2025, at Helnan Antoniadis Hotel – Alexandria. H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), H.E. Rear Admiral Dr. Ashraf El-Assal - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety (EAMS), and H.E. Dr. Dennis Hill - Chairman and CEO of the International Human Resources Information Management Association (IHRIM) participated in the conference activities in addition to Prof. Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Morsi – Dean of AASTMT Port Training Institute (PTI), and AASTMT Maritime Research & Consultation Center (MRCC), and a number of chairpersons of boards of directors of various organizations and companies, as well as several leaders from the maritime sector and representatives from AASTMT senior officials.

During the conference, H.E. AASTMT President emphasized the role of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the contemporary labor market., stressing on the significance of improving human capital and providing people with the digital skills required to meet changing work expectations. His Excellency also highlighted AASTMT initiatives in 2019, including the establishment of an AI-focused university and frequent seminars to debate advancements in the field, with the support of the League of Arab States (LAS). Furthermore, the Dean of PTI and MRCC, explored issues including the future of human resources, smart organizations, and the influence of AI on leadership and innovation in order to better clarify the critical role of AI in developing human skills and organizational strategy. He pointed out that in today's fast-paced world, AI is crucial for organizations to boost their brand and increase public involvement.

On the sidelines of the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed with the International Federation of Human Resource Information Management (IFHIM), designating AASTMT Port Training Institute (PTI), as an accredited training center for the Federation in the field of information technology.
