Arab Ministers of Transport Council "Session 38"

The activities of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council (Session 38) were held in the presence of H.E. Arab Transport Ministers, heads of delegations, members of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council, representatives of Arab countries, in addition to the League of Arab States Delegation.

During the meeting, a number of issues pertaining to regional integration and the support of the Palestinian transport industry that has been impacted by the recent war, were covered. H.E. Noura Al-Mashaan - Minister of Public Works of the State of Kuwait, emphasized the importance of developing the Arab transport system by relying on digital transformation and standardizing criteria to enhance regional competitiveness soon after serving as the session's president from the State of Palestine. H.E. Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk - Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, emphasized Gaza's transport infrastructure devastating harm and stressed on the significance of the delivery of relief, restoring roads and removing damage as being a critical humanitarian needs. Additionally, he urged for participation in the international conference on Gaza Strip rehabilitation and praised Egypt's efforts in hosting the conference. Additionally, there were many crucial topics among Council's agenda including the Arab Program for Reducing Maritime Disasters, cybersecurity in civil aviation, trade facilitation, road safety, and boosting sustainable energy in land transport.
