A Scientific Lecture on “the most recent developments in Paediatric surgery” at AASTMT El Alamein campus

The College of Medicine at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized a scientific lecture delivered by H.E. Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Ghoneimy - Professor of paediatric surgery and urology, President of the European Society of Paediatric Urology, and Head of the paediatric urology department at the Children's University Hospital in Paris. The lecture was held on Monday 3- 11- 2025, at AASTMT El Alamein campus, in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, various urological surgery specialists and doctors, AASTMT medical sector officials, and a number of AASTMT deans and academic staff members.

Throughout the lecture, the usage of surgical endoscopes and robotics was compared to conventional techniques. Additionally, H.E. AASTMT President mentioned that AASTMT El Alamein campus hosts numerous significant events. As His Excellency addressed the 4,500 students at AASTMT Al-Alamein campus, the integrated teaching hospital with outpatient clinics for a variety of medical specialties’, the emergency room, operations, radiology, and analysis, as well as the dental clinics that serve about 400 patients daily.
