As part of Egypt's efforts to empower youth in a variety of fields, create a technologically based knowledge-based society, and as keeping on the role of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in supporting Egyptian, Arab, and African youth to keep up with the global digital transformation, the closing ceremony of the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC) was held on Saturday 9- 8- 2025, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus. The contest was organized by AASTMT Regional Informatics Center (RIC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
"ECPC 2025" Closing Ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat- Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy - Minister of Youth and Sports, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, Eng. Amira Salah - Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Prof. Dr. Yousry Elgamal - AASTMT President Advisor and former Minister of Education, in addition to a group of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology officials and AASTMT Regional Informatics Center officials.
It’s worth mentioning that ECPC 2025 was held with the participation of 8,000 students from 2,000 teams from 119 universities and institutes from various governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The judging panel included judges from Egypt, Syria, Morocco, Germany, and France, reflecting the international nature of the competition. The competition served as a platform to demonstrate the spirit of innovation and collaboration at one of Egypt's most significant technology events, in addition to evaluating programming skills. In this regard, attendees commended the distinguished level of performance displayed by the young people competing in the competition's final round, which serves as an essential venue for developing their abilities and inspiring them to come up with new ideas.
