AASTMT Center of Entrepreneurship Participation in the "World Cities Day 2024" Exhibition

The Entrepreneurship Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) participated in the exhibition activities that were held on the sidelines of the "World Cities Day 2024" celebration. The exhibition was held under the slogan "Youth Climate Change Makers: Stimulating Local Action for Urban Sustainability", on Thursday, 10-31-2024, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina headquarters. H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Zayed - Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) visited the exhibition activities.

It is worth mentioning that AASTMT Entrepreneurship Center presented several projects to promote sustainable innovation and accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals, which center on cutting-edge technologies and creative environmental solutions to move toward more sustainable cities. The projects included a variety of topics, such as biotechnology and intelligent food preservation using cutting-edge biological technologies that improve food resource sustainability and minimize waste. Additionally, some initiatives use artificial intelligence technology to accurately monitor marine species, which helps to preserve and maintain biodiversity. In addition to projects to manage natural resources in modern ways that contribute to rationalizing consumption and increasing efficiency, as well as initiatives to recycle plastic bottles into materials, to reduce plastic pollution, in addition to presentations on turning garbage into environmentally friendly building materials, which emphasizes the center's role in recycling waste and minimizing the negative effects of the building sector on the environment.
