The International Day of Women and Girls in Science Celebration at AASTMT

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in the Arab States organized a celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGIS) under the theme “Paving the Way for Women Leaders in Science" on Saturday 11- 2- 2023, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus, where IDWGIS is celebrated annually on the 11th of February.
It is worth to mention that the celebration was held in the presence of Ms. Nuria Sanz – Director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in the Arab States, as well as AASTMT Officials and students. IDWGIS aims at empowering women as to enable young women to pursue education and to enhance opportunities for women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering and other fields, as well as ensuring gender equality in science.
