Entrepreneurship Workshop Empowers Pharmacy Faculty at AASTMT Main Campus

In fruitful collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the main campus, the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport organized a training workshop titled:
"Entrepreneurship Clinic: Pharmacy Staff Training",
held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Faculty of Pharmacy – Main Campus.

The workshop targeted faculty members and teaching assistants from the Faculty of Pharmacy. It was delivered by Eng. Ahmed Bastawy, Executive Director of ICEALEX, and supervised by Assoc. Prof. Rasha Aboulkhair, Vice Dean for Education at the Faculty.

The workshop covered fundamentals of entrepreneurship and innovation, tools for transforming ideas into actionable opportunities, and basics of business models. It also emphasized the crucial role of faculty members in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students and encouraging them to pursue innovative ideas.

A practical segment was included, focusing on real-world applications of entrepreneurship in pharmaceutical education and scientific research.

The workshop concluded with inspiring success stories of entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector.

Prof. Dr. Amira Senbel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, extends sincere thanks to Dr. Heba El-Ashry, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the Academy, Dr. Fahd Abdel Aziz, Head of Startup Support, and Dr. Ayman El-Nahhas, Head of Entrepreneurship Development at the Center. Special thanks were also extended to Teaching Assistant Haidy Hedia, Advisor at the Center, and the entire team for their contributions and support in making the workshop a success.
