Pharmaconex 2025: AASTMT Pharmacy Faculty Engages in Shaping the Future of Pharma Industry

The College of Pharmacy – Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport – participated with an official delegation from 1-3 September 2025 in Pharmaconex 2025, the largest and most significant pharmaceutical industry exhibition and conference in Africa, held this year in Cairo. The exhibition is a pivotal event, bringing together more than 13,500 participants and 350 exhibitors from 40 countries, providing a unique platform to explore cutting-edge technologies, engage with experts, and build partnerships that shape the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Prof. Amira Senbel, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, chaired a panel discussion titled “The Role of Women in Enhancing Egypt’s Position as a Pharmaceutical Hub.” The session brought together distinguished female leaders in the sector, featuring:

Dr. Hala Zaied – Former Egyptian Minister of Health and Population,

Dr. Nivine El-Khoury – Pharmaceutical Industry Expert,

Dr. Asmaa Salman – from the National Health Authority.

The panel highlighted the importance of empowering women in this vital sector and enhancing their role in driving innovation and development, while also discussing opportunities for professional networking and knowledge exchange to further advance the pharmaceutical industry in the region.
