In a new milestone for the Media Department at the College of Language and Communication, Alexandria HQ Campus, the graduation project “Factify” has received official support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which announced its adoption of the campaign as one of the most promising youth-led initiatives in the field of media awareness and combating fake news.
Factify is one of the Class of 2025’s graduation projects. It was launched as an awareness media campaign aimed at fighting misinformation and promoting a culture of fact-checking, especially in light of the rapid spread of digital content on social media platforms.
Through the project, students presented interactive content and practical tools to help audiences—particularly youth—distinguish between facts and rumors, and apply critical thinking when processing information.
The project was supervised by Dr. Ameera Fouad, Ms. Ahella Tarek, Ms. Gehad Mansour, and Mr. Mohamed Abaza, and was widely praised during the graduation project presentations for its meaningful message and professional execution.
