Automation of Smart Homes Workshop

Sharing experiences among students from different departments is a valuable opportunity that brings great benefits, including the exchange of knowledge, fostering teamwork, and helping students develop creative engineering solutions.

As part of a successful collaboration for the second consecutive year between students from the Department of Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design and the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering, the "Automation of Smart Homes" workshop was held with great success.

The workshop involved eighth-semester students from the Department of Architectural Engineering enrolled in the course "Execution Design 2", under the supervision and coordination of Dr. Sally El-Deeb, Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design.

The event was also powered by the student team "Wired for Success" from the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering, led by Prof. Dr. Walid Ahmed Maher Ghoneim, Head of the Department, and composed of a group of dedicated students from Electrical and Control Engineering.

Through this collaboration, students from both departments successfully applied smart control systems within building designs, showcasing a practical integration of architecture and engineering.

Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation go to everyone who contributed to the success of this outstanding initiative. We wish all participating students continued success and look forward to more fruitful collaboration between the two departments in the future, God willing.
