Joint Collaboration in a Visit to the Exhibition:
"Egypt Energy & Firex 2024" ⚡️⚙️
The College of Engineering and Technology at the main campus is always keen on developing its students' skills by encouraging and motivating them to stay abreast of technological advancements and gain knowledge of the latest developments in the job market.
In this context, the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a student trip to visit the Egypt Energy & Firex 2024 exhibition in Greater Cairo on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
This exhibition is one of the oldest events of its kind in Egypt and North Africa. The trip was supervised by:
The exhibition featured a large number of global companies, leading manufacturers, and energy suppliers from all over the world, showcasing new technologies and innovative solutions covering the energy value chain. This included generators, storage and management systems, high- and low-voltage cables, energy transmission and distribution systems, solar panels, and green energy solutions.
Additionally, it highlighted automation systems, fire protection systems, medium- and low-voltage electrical panels, testing devices, insulators, and smart building control systems.
Many students benefited from explanations provided by faculty members, which aimed to link the scientific curricula taught in class to real-world applications in the job market.
The students also visited the Firex 2024 exhibition, the only fire safety exhibition in the region and North Africa. It showcased the latest products and solutions for passive fire protection, fire detection, suppression systems, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting.
Special thanks from the College of Engineering and Technology to the Cultural Activities Department and Mr. Hassan Nour for coordinating and supervising the students and ensuring their safety throughout the visit.
