College of Engineering organizes IEEE PES Day Egypt 2024

IEEE PES Egypt section spearheaded a sectional event centered on the theme of electric mobility, a cruial aspect of addressing climate change. The event aimed to explore the intersection between electric mobility and sustainability through illuminating talks and sessions featuring presentations by members of leading companies in Egypt.

In a world where climate change and environmental pollution remain critical challenges, electric mobility emerges as a promising solution to address these issues. With increasing urbanization and the growing number of vehicles on the roads, traditional mobility based on fossil fuels is exacerbating the climate crisis and contributing to air pollution. It is clear that we urgently need cleaner and more sustainable alternatives for our transportation needs.

This collaborative event, organized in partnership with SAC Egypt and the IEEE Egypt section, attracted 250 IEEE members worldwide. The event provided a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, fostering discussions on the pivotal role of electric mobility in combating environmental challenges. The Event took place on the 11th of May 2024 in the College of Engineering Heliopolis branch.
