Within the keenness of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) on the progress of the educational process, as to excel its educational services, as well as to improve the quality of education and its continuous development, the Industrial Advisory Council of AASTMT Heliopolis College of Engineering and Technology was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President.
The meeting was held on Monday 29- 12- 2025, in the presence of H.E. Eng. Hany Dahy - Former Egyptian Minister of Transport, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company, H.E. Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), H.E. Eng. Abdel Sadek Mohamed El Shorbagy - Chairman of the National Press Authority, H.E. Prof. Dr. Engineer Magdy Ismail - CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, H.E. Major General Eng. Mahmoud Arafat - Secretary General of the Engineers Syndicate, H.E. Eng. Hasem Hamida - CEO of ESRI Egypt and North Africa, H.E. Dr. Nael Darwish - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wathba Petroleum Services Company, Major General Eng. Mohamed El Touny - Director of the Electromechanical Department at the Engineering Administration of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, and Eng. Ahmed Essam - Deputy Governor of Ismailia, in addition to AASTMT Heliopolis Campus College of Engineering and Technology Council, officials and staff members, as well as Heads of companies working in the field of Engineering, Technology and Energy, and AASTMT Officials.
During the sessions, the board discussed the college’s achievements, they also discussed the development of study plans for the various educational programs as to keep up with the technological developments, and to qualify graduates for the labor market locally and internationally. H.E. AASTMT President emphasized the importance of developing artificial intelligence applications across various engineering disciplines and enhancing the college's role in providing engineering consultancy services to support major national projects. Furthermore, all the attendees praised the tremendous efforts exerted by the Council to develop and raise the College status.
