AASTMT President - Djibouti Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment “Meeting”

Within the visit of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) to the Republic of Djibouti, as keeping on AASTMT consolidations for the bonds of cooperation which are always looking forward to new future prospects, H.E. AASTMT President met H.E. Mr. Hassan Hamad Ibrahim - Djibouti’s Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment.

During the meeting, they discussed the methods of cooperation in areas of transport, logistics, and infrastructure development. Then, H.E. AASTMT President emphasized AASTMT leading role as one of the specialized organizations affiliated with the League of Arab States (LAS) in preparing qualified human resources and offering technical consultations, in addition to its commitment to supporting development projects in Djibouti, particularly in the maritime transport sector.Given its strategic position as a gateway to the Horn of Africa region, H.E. Djiboutian Minister also commended AASTMT and underlined the significance of utilizing its academic and practical expertise in training personnel in accordance with plans to develop logistical infrastructure and expand port capacities.
