Honoring “AASTMT President” at “China-Arab Youth Summit 2025”

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) was honored during the opening of the China-Arab Youth Summit 2025 on Global Development and Governance that was held at Fudan University in Shanghai in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS). H.E. AASTMT President was honored in recognition of his distinguished academic contributions and efforts to promote cooperation and partnership between the Arab and Chinese sides, as well as crucial role in the success of the previous forum session.

H.E. AASTMT President participated in the summit's inauguration that was held on Thursday 20- 11- 2025, in Shanghai - China, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, in addition to the representatives of Arab countries and LAS delegation, Heads and Directors of specialized Arab organizations, and representatives of Chinese and Arab institutions, academics, and companies.

H.E. Secretary-General of the League of Arab States commended the efforts made to unify the summit and transform it into a powerful platform for improving collaboration and academic exchange between Arab and Chinese institutions in the areas of higher education and scientific research. H.E. AASTMT president emphasized the need of fortifying collaborations, mentioning plans for student exchanges and cooperative research initiatives as AASTMT January 2025 hosting of fifteen Chinese students from Fudan University.
