AASTMT General Assembly Meeting “at the Arab Ministerial Level”

The General Assembly meeting of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) was held on Monday 8- 9- 2025. H.E. Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Humaid - Yemeni Minister of Transport, chaired the current session of AASTMT General Assembly at the Arab Ministerial Level that was held in the presence of H.E. Arab Transport Ministers, members of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council, representatives of Arab countries, in addition to the League of Arab States Delegation. The meeting was held in Cairo - Arab Republic of Egypt, also via videoconference.

During the meeting, many topics related to AASTMT were discussed, including the ministers and ambassadors' praise of the efforts of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President. As a result of the efforts of H.E. AASTMT President and AASTMT family members, new branches, colleges, and institutions in many areas were established. Beyond nautical domains, AASTMT disciplines now comprise economics, business administration, engineering, fisheries, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, the arts, the media, and artificial intelligence. Through collaboration partnerships with famous foreign universities that allow dual degree programs and international accreditations from international organizations. Among Arab, international, and Egyptian organizations, AASTMT has progressed in status and improved its global standing. More than 30,000 students are now enrolled, and there were about 6,000 teaching and support staff members dispersed among nine branches. At the end of the discussions, all participants agreed that stability and ongoing progress would be ensured by extending the present leadership for an additional four years.
