The 36th International Olympiad in Informatics "Opening Ceremony"

The Opening Ceremony of the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2024 Egypt) was held on Sunday 1- 9- 2024, at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as the Arab republic of Egypt hosted IOI 2024 that will be held during the period from 1 - 8 September, 2024, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of Egypt. IOI 2024 is organized and supported by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The opening ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled - Governor of Alexandria, H.E. Prof. Dr. Heba Saleh -President of the Information Technology Institute, on behalf of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Eng. Ghada Labib - Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zayed - President of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, H.E. Mr. Benjamin Burton - President of the International Olympiad in Informatics, in addition to delegations, ambassadors and contestants from the participating countries, as the competition will be held with the participation of delegations from 96 countries.
