Participation in "Egypt Can..by sons of the Nile conference"


Prof. Dr. Sherin Youssef - the head of Computer Engineering Department (AASTMT) participated in "Egypt Can..by sons of the Nile" conference that was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and organized by H.E Dr. Nabila Makram - Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs, 25 - 27 Febreuary 2018, in Luxor, Egypt.

The conference tackles issues of concern to the Egyptian countryside, the role of new technologies in facing challenges and new vision for sustainable development. More than 23 Egyptian scientists from abroad have participated, in addition to ministers, faculty members, consultants and representarives from industry track.

The conference is set to discuss challenges and suggested solutions, the role of new technologies in facing challenges, water safety, IT solutions, energy mechanisms and achieving sustainable development. The conference had shed light on Egyptian expatriates in developing Egypt and to achieve the sustainable development goals of “Egypt Vision 2030”. A distinguished group of AAST students have participated in the conference organization. In addition, there was a meeting with brilliant teams of students of STEM schools who demonstrated their innovative ideas, inventions and projects in using latest technology in solving many challenging problems.
