"Climate Change Resilience" by the IEEE- Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Mu Beta Chapter

The students of the Electrical & Control Engineering have attended the " Climate Change Resilience" event organized by the IEEE- Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Mu Beta Chapter which included invited talks delivered by a group of distinguished professors and experts. Prof. Akram Soliman Elselmy, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, who spoke about the international program for sustainable development in ports and engineering technologies that can be used to reduce the effects of climate change. Prof. Mostafa Abdel Gelil, Head of the Energy Research Unit, talked about renewable energy sources, green hydrogen, energy saving opportunities in Egypt, and the projects that have already been completed. Dr. Ajith Gopi, Head of Technical Consultation in Solar Photovoltaic Energy and Wind Energy at ANERT in India, joined virtually, and spoke about the outcomes of the Cop27 conference, through which the world will move through the coming period to reduce global warming and limit climate change and highlighted important projects in India. Mr. Wessam Hendy, project manager at ABB AS in Norway, also joined virtually, presented the latest developments in the field of energy saving and measuring emissions through space in cooperation with major international companies in this field. He also reviewed the major opportunities and projects. The second day included a workshop on SOLIDWORKS software by Eng. Ahmed Elnemr, an application Engineer at Promech group, Egypt.
