Industry Advisory Council (Tenth Session)

Dr. Capt. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel-Fattah, Dean of the Regional Maritime Security Institute (RMSI), participated in the Industry Advisory Council meeting of the College of Maritime Transport, held under the theme “Bridging Policy and Practice: Advancing Maritime Excellence” at the Premises of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir. The meeting was chaired by Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy.

During the meeting, Dr. Capt. Mohamed Mah. Abdel-Fattah delivered a presentation on the role of the Regional Maritime Security Institute in implementing the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) within Arab ports, highlighting the Institute’s efforts in supporting maritime security industry and promoting compliance with relevant international requirements and standards.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments and emerging trends in the maritime transport and maritime security sectors, while discussing opportunities to strengthen cooperation between academic entities and maritime stakeholders in order to enhance performance, innovation, and excellence across the maritime industry.
