Renewal of the Training Agreement for the Fourth Consecutive Year with Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Company

In a step that reflects the success and continuity of fruitful cooperation, the training agreement for qualification purposes has been renewed for the fourth consecutive year between Port Training Institute at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Company.

This took place during the visit of the Institute’s delegation headed by Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute & Research and Consultation Center for the Maritime Transport Sector, accompanied by:

Mr. Ehab Hamdy – Assistant Dean for Financial and Administrative Affairs
Dr. Essam Mostafa – Business Development Manager

Eng. Hesham Hamdy – Head of the Simulation Department

The delegation visited the company’s headquarters on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, where they were welcomed by Rear Admiral Dr. Rafik Galal, the company’s Managing Executive Director.

The visit witnessed the signing of the renewed agreement, which aims to support and qualify human resources in various technical, administrative, engineering, and logistics specializations, in line with labor market needs.

This comes as part of the ongoing training of a large number of young people from Damietta Governorate within the company in several fields, including:

???? Truck Drivers
???? Loading and Unloading Specialists
???? Marketing
⚙️ Maintenance Engineers

The number of trainees is expected to increase during the coming period, which will enhance employment opportunities and improve the efficiency of qualified personnel in the maritime transport sector.

It is worth mentioning that the “Training for Qualification” program extends for one full year within the company, and applicants undergo thorough tests and personal interviews to ensure the selection of the best candidates capable of success and excellence.

This cooperation comes within the framework of the leading role of Port Training Institute at the Arab Academy in preparing and qualifying specialized human resources, while supporting the maritime transport and ports sector in Egypt and the Arab region.
