As part of the Port Training Institute at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s commitment to keeping pace with the latest global developments in maritime transport and ports, and to strengthening its role in preparing and developing leadership cadres working in the port and maritime transport industry in Egypt and Arab ports, and based on the ongoing cooperation with the Port of Valencia Foundation in Spain—home to the largest container terminals and the most advanced operating systems in the Mediterranean Basin—the implementation of the following program has commenced:
“Towards Sustainable Energy Systems in Port Logistics.”
The program is implemented jointly by the Port of Valencia Foundation and Port Training Institute, and aims to:
The first phase of the program is currently being implemented at the headquarters of the Port of Valencia in Spain from 26 to 30 January 2026, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of all program topics.
The second phase is scheduled to be conducted through remote (online) training from the headquarters of the Port Training Institute in Alexandria during the period from 8 to 12 February 2026. Registration for the second phase of the program has been opened for those wishing to reserve and participate.
At the end of the program, trainees will receive an accredited certificate from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
It is worth noting that the cooperation between the Port Training Institute and the Port of Valencia Foundation has previously resulted in the implementation of several joint diplomas and training programs in the fields of ports and maritime transport.
