As part of strengthening the strategic partnership between Port Training Institute (PTI) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and major educational institutions, - Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Maritime Research and Consultation Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport participated as a keynote speaker in the opening session of the Annual Conference on Business, Economics, and Politics in the Middle East, organized by the British University in Egypt (BUE), Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, and Political Science (BAEPS), on Saturday, 22 November 2025.
This high-level participation reflects his distinguished expertise in training and port development. The conference’s opening address—held under the theme “Bridging the Gap for Innovation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” presented an integrated vision of the challenges posed by the age of AI on the maritime sector and the future of education, emphasizing the need to transform the workforce into AI-empowered human capital. During his address, the Dean highlighted the journey of sustained collaboration and partnership between PTI and the British University in Egypt, describing it as a model for successful partnerships and knowledge exchange.
The Dean also took part in the conference’s closing panel discussion alongside a group of experts and academics, held under the title:
AI as a Catalyst: Connecting Research, Practice, and Policy for Innovation and Sustainability.”
