Opening of the Maritime Law Program in Cooperation with the University of South-Eastern Norway

Prof.  Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Maritime Research and Consultation Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, inaugurated on, Sunday, October 26, 2025, the activities of the program “Maritime Law”, as part of the distinguished international cooperation between Port Training Institute and the University of South-Eastern Norway

 

The program brings together (55) participants from Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Egypt, and will run until October 30, 2025, through live online sessions.

 

The program is delivered by a distinguished group of experts from Egypt and Norway, covering the latest topics in maritime law, marine investigations, international conventions, legal dimensions of modern technology, maritime cybersecurity, insurance, and maritime transport contracts.

 

In his opening remarks, the Dean emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation and highlighted the Institute’s future plans to strengthen its partnerships with leading maritime institutions worldwide.

 

This program comes within the framework of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote modern maritime legal knowledge and support Arab professionals in the field of maritime transport.
