Port Training Institute (PTI) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport welcomed today Mr. Álvaro Sebastián Fernández from the Port Authority of Bahía de Algeciras – Algeciras Port, Spain, as part of the staff exchange program among Mediterranean ports.
During the visit, Mr. Fernández was introduced to the advanced facilities and modern training technologies available at the Institute, particularly the state-of-the-art simulators, which represent the latest advancements in port training technology.
He was received by Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and the Maritime Research and Consultation Center, where they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation through training and staff exchanges between Egyptian, Arab, and European ports. This aims to enhance knowledge exchange and serve the Mediterranean port community, fostering communication and integration across both shores.
This visit comes within the framework of the regional and international role undertaken by the Port Training Institute and the Maritime Transport Research and Consultation Center in serving the ports and maritime transport sector.
