Visit of H.E. Ambassador Frederick Oteno Ota, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Egypt

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Institute received H.E. Ambassador Frederick Oteno Ota, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Egypt, along with his accompanying delegation.
H.E. the Ambassador was welcomed by Prof.  Alaa Mahmoud Morsy,  Dean of Port Training Institute and the Maritime Research & Consultation Center, in addition to the heads of responsibility centers at the Institute.
 During the meeting, the Dean delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Institute’s capabilities, services, and partnerships at the local, regional, and international levels, as well as its role in enriching the ports and maritime transport sector with training programs aligned with global trends. The discussions also explored mechanisms of joint cooperation in the fields of training, consultancy, exchange of expertise, and technical qualification, in a way that supports integration efforts between both sides and contributes to developing human resources at the training level. 
The visit included a field tour inside the Institute covering:
???? The Integrated Simulation Complex for cranes and trucks.
???? Technical workshops and training laboratories.
???? A comprehensive presentation of the Institute’s capacities in capacity building and training of technical and administrative personnel in the maritime transport sector.

During the visit, H.E. the Ambassador praised the advanced training capabilities possessed by the Institute and the prominent role it plays in qualifying maritime and logistics personnel at both regional and international levels.
He also emphasized the importance of opening broad prospects for cooperation with the ports and maritime transport sector in the Republic of Kenya, particularly in the fields of training and capacity building.
