Visit of a Delegation from the Libyan Ports Company and MAPSO Company for Marine Equipment and Supplies to Port Training Institute

As part of the Port Training Institute and the Maritime Transport Research & Consultation Center’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with leading regional and international companies and to broaden the horizons of partnership in the fields of training and consultancy, the Institute received today, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, a delegation from the Libyan Ports Company headed by Eng. Mansour Salem Al-Haddad, and a delegation from MAPSO Company for Marine Equipment and Supplies headed by Eng. Mohamed Abdel Azim, a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

The delegations were welcomed by Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Maritime  Research and Consultation Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, Dr. Gamal Abdel Nasser, Director of Education & Training Department, Dr. Essam Moustafa, Director of Business Development Department, Mr. Ahmed Shary, Head of Public Relations, and Eng. Amr Sami, Head of Project Management Department at the Research & Consultation Center.

The visit began with a welcoming meeting during which aspects of mutual cooperation in training and consultancy were reviewed. The Institute presented a detailed overview of its capabilities and track record in the field of training and consultancy.

The members of the delegations expressed their great admiration for the training and consultancy services provided by the Institute.

This visit comes within the framework of the Institute’s strategy to build effective partnerships with leading companies in order to enhance the level of training and consultancy in the ports and maritime transport sectors.
